2019 Competition

Wearable Art Mandurah encourages new ways of viewing the world through thought-provoking works of art for the body.

More than a competition, it builds capacity through workshops, showcase events and exhibitions of works.

Stories are shared, connections formed and skills developed through participants’ creation and presentation of wearable art. The Wearable Art Mandurah team supports and encourages participants throughout the entire design, creation, judging and presentation process.

An award winning brand, Wearable Art Mandurah is rapidly becoming a global wearable art leader and receives entries from across the world.

Be part of Wearable Art Mandurah 2019: Entries for 2019 open 1 July 2018. The competition is open to participants of all skill levels, ages and design forms.

Selection criteria include:

  1. Artistic vision
  2. Creativity and originality
  3. Innovative use of materials
  4. Craftsmanship and construction
  5. Visual impact


Immerse yourself if the Wearable Art experience! Two full-length productions at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre promise to delight audiences, incorporating a sense of play, musicality and theatricality, while presenting spectacular wearable art from our WAM finalists.

When: Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June, 2019

The best of our emerging and established artists’ works will be presented at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (CASM).

When: 3 August to 9 September, 2018
Where: Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (CASM), 63 Ormsby Terrace Mandurah

Registered participants (individuals and groups) who fulfil the above criteria and pass the pre-selection and judging processes are eligible go into the pool to win cash and prizes with a total value of more than $12,000.
