Common Threads 2011



2011 was the year the first year of the competition under the name Common Threads Wearable Art.


2011 competition



Wearable Art Mandurah started in 2011, under the name Common Threads as a Stretch Festival initiative and facilitated by local artists Denise Fisher, Deidre Robb, Barbara Pannell and Judith Gardiner.
Community models presented the wearable art designs on a small stage erected in Mandjar Square. he garments were presented at Mandjar Square to the general public as the judging and main outcome of the competition. 

13 garments were submitted, and there were no specific categories to enter the competition.
