2012 was the second year Wearable Art Mandurah ran as Common Threads Wearable Art “Motion in the Wind”.

Details 2012
Common Threads Wearable Art was held on 6 May 2012 at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre in form of a fashion parade with 19 submitted garments.
The different categories were: Couture | Masquerade/Headdress | Fantasy | Body Art | Trash to Flash | Under 18
Overall winners were Rosy Chalklen and Claire Hunt for their garment depicting the endangered Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, made mainly from black garbage bags.
Judging was held in the City of Mandurah’s Tuckey Room, and the garments were modelled on a stage in the foyer of the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, as part of the Stretch Art Festival weekend.
